EASTER HAT PARADE
The last day of Term 1 ended with the excitement of the Easter Hat Parade and the drawing of the Easter Egg Raffle.
As the students walked around the basketball courts parading their creatively designed hats the judges had the difficult task of choosing the winners. A big congratulations to all the students, their participation and enthusiasm during the parade was wonderful.
Thank you to the parents and family members who were able to join us on the day. A special thank you goes to those parents who were able to assist with the organisation of the raffle.
Hoping you all enjoy the Easter break and we look forward to seeing you again next term –
Tuesday April 20th.
THE EASTER BUNNY PAYS US A VISIT
Word spread quickly throughout the school. The Easter Bunny was on his way to pay a visit . He brought a surprise with him for the children, the teachers and the workmen.
We have all been working very hard this term and the Easter Bunny thought we deserved a reward.
There was not an Easter egg to be seen though, instead he had lots of yummy ice blocks.
Thanks to the Easter Bunny and to his special helper, we all really enjoyed your visit and we loved the ice blocks as well.

Kinder Excursion

The Kinders had a fabulous time visiting Our Lady of the Way Emu Plains, today! The children got to compare and contrast their experiences of school & make new friends. Many thanks to the parent helpers and all those involved in the excursion. The generosity of our parents is very much appreciated.
The big bus was a real hit!!
We all waved as the set off & were eager to find out how it all went when the children came home just after recess. Opportunities like these help to enrich the learning experiences for our children & help to make learning fun!!
Working Bee!
The playground looks BEAUTIFUL due to the hard work of these generous volunteers.

Cross Country
Many of the children took part in the fun run, benefiting from a little exercise that was lots of fun. Other students chose to run in the more competitive races. It was fantastic to see so many parents, teachers and students encouraging our runners on the day. Over 40 students will now represent H.F.S at the Zone Cross Country in April to be held at Eastern Creek Raceway.
A big THANK YOU goes out to all the parents who were able to attend and help on the day.
Palm Sunday Liturgy
On Friday March 26th parents, students and teachers were able to come together to reflect upon the events and the significance of Palm Sunday. The Kindergarten children retold the story of Jesus riding on a donkey into Jerusalem and of the people who waved palm branches and called out “Praise the King, He who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Thank you to the students and teachers who organised the celebration and to those people who were able to join us on the afternoon.

# Handball courts- 1/2 for stg 3 ( near the new stg 3 classrooms) 1/2 for stg 2 (on the prayer garden side of the playground)
New toilets for infants classes opened!

You wouldn't think it would be such an anticipated event! But the opening of the refurbished toilets for our Infants Playground was an exciting and eagerly awaited event for our children.
It was probably because the Infants Playground could now be used in addition to the OZ Play and other areas.
Hooray!!!!!!
